Speaker: Bill Inmon
Join us for a session with Bill Inmon, widely recognized as the “Father of the Data Warehouse.” Bill is a pioneering technologist, entrepreneur, and author whose contributions have shaped the field of data management for decades.
Over the course of his career, Bill has authored 74 books, published in nine languages, with more than 1.5 million copies sold worldwide. His landmark book, Building the Data Warehouse, has sold over 500,000 copies and remains a foundational resource in the industry.
Bill was named by Computerworld as one of the ten most influential thought leaders in the history of computing. His innovations include the development of textual disambiguation technology, which transforms raw text into structured database content, and the founding of Prism Solutions, the original ETL company, which he later took public. He is also the founder of LLM Management.
A lifelong innovator, Bill began his professional journey as a golfer before transitioning into technology and becoming one of the industry's leading visionaries. He resides in Denver, Colorado, with his wife and their two Scottish Terriers, Rollie and Lena.

Data administration has been around for as long as people have been writing code. And data administration is sorely needed in the new world of AI. But AI has completely changed what is meant by data administration and data governance. This presentation describes the new world of data administration and data governance in the context of AI.
